The weekend after.....

Well today is the Saturday after the Thanksgiving craziness. I am trying to get going this morning to no avail. Maybe another cup of coffee will help....

We had a great holiday with lots of family time. Terry Don's aunt and uncle were here from Louisville Ky. We only see them about once a year and it was nice visiting with them their daughter was with them and she is now 24 years old. WOW! It was just yesterday when she was only 5 or so. Time is so flying by! Andrew made her even feel old when he told her he wondered if she was still "hip and fresh" meaning was she still young and understanding lingo. It was funny! Paula and her family were also home for the holidays. Lucas is such a joy! He makes everything so fun this time of year. The kids were so great this weekend. Everyone got along and had great visits with all the family.

Alicia and I went Black Friday shopping along with my sister Paula. It was fun but I just don't like the crowds like I used too. I guess I'm getting old! Plus, there wasn't anything I needed that I had to "fight" for this year so I guess that was part of why I felt that way. I really don't want to get so hung up on presents and rushing around this year. I think that is why I get so stressed during the holidays anyway. It makes them not so much fun!

Today I am going to try to start getting my decorations out for the Christmas holidays. I hope to do a little each day and that way hopefully enjoy it!

Currently, I am working on sewing curtains for TD's hunting trailer. This is a big undertaking for me and I just hope they turn out good! I will hopefully get them completed before hunting season is over. Andrew sure is enjoying that hunting this year. I am glad we were able to find a closer place for him to go with his dad. I think it's great for him and TD to have that time together. They are my "BIG HUNTERS"! I try not to worry too much about them. TD is hunting ducks today. I hope they see something. The last few years haven't been so great since the weather has been so warm.
