Today is actually the 2nd day of 2008 but the beginning anyway you look at it. Happy New Year! We had a great Christmas holiday and an awesome New Years in Branson with our friends. We saw the new year in with lots of food and merriment! We stayed up playing cards till midnight and then watched the ball drop to cheers of Happy New Year and horns blowing. Also there were fireworks off in the distance as well signaling the beginning of a new year! The kids had a blast playing pool and Guitar Hero, which was a blast for us all! We came home last night and were glad to sleep in our own beds again though! It's fun to go somewhere with friends but coming home is oh so sweet too! It has turned off VERY cold around here lately! I am sitting in front of the fireplace now just LOVING it. I love it as long as I have not got to go out in it! I just wish it would snow! It would surely stick if that was the case since it has been SOOOOO cold lately. I don't think it got much above freezing temperatures today even. Welcome Winter!!!!! At least the kids are still out of school and can enjoy being in doors with their new "toys" for a while.
