Today is Sept,11th.

What a day in history for us all. Do you remember what you were doing on Sept 11th, 2001? I was at school with my children and school had just begun when people started coming in talking about what was happening in New York. Bits and pieces of information were coming in from the radio and news stations and at first we could not fathom the magnitude of the horror of it all. At first it didn't seem real since we are so far away here in Arkansas but the more information that came out and the more we learned about the situation, we soon came to realize that this WAS HUGE and people from all over the United States were affected. Many lost loved ones or knew people who lost loved ones. With al the media coverage we came to "know" many of the families and victims and came to feel the severity of it all as if it was in our own hometown. The fear and uncertainty that we all felt was a new sensation as Americans due to the fact that we always felt "safe" her in our home country. That kind or terroristic killing happened elsewhere, overseas, or so we thought. Naive.....absolutely....I for one felt like my eyes had been opened and I for the first time truly realized that we as a nation were in as much danger of having terroristic attacks as anywhere else in the world and that we should hold or families and loved ones close to us. Everyone seemed a little more patient and kinder to their fellow man at least for a little while after all the chaos but unfortunately many have forgotten the fear they felt and have returned to their impatient ways and have gone back to taking things for granted again. I for one hope today.....and frequently to remember exactly how I felt that day and to cherish my family and mankind for the good in them all.

God Bless America and all that we stand for! May God continue to keep us safe from evil and bless those who have suffered.
Amen.
